The loco itself is DCC ready, has the 6pin socket in the tender, just take the coal out the top of the tender and plug in a chip. The coach roofs can unclip to allow you to fit coach lights too if you wanted, there is a plug inside the coaches. Its a nice easy way to add even more realism to this set.
