A Bachmann OO gauge 32-778 British Railways Class 37/0 (English Electric Type 3) Co-Co diesel locomotive in green livery with pre-TOPS number D6826 with late BR crest on the sides and small yellow end panels. The Class 37 is the centre headcode variant and is very well detailed with etched ventilation grilles, red ventilation fan, sprung buffers, wire handrails, windscreen wipers and yellow axle box covers.
Sound holes have been drilled on the underside of the fuel tanks, in which the speaker has been fitted. The model has been given a professional graded weathering treatment including around the roof edges. The weathering is very effective, giving the locomotive a very authentic industrial look. On the track, it has an ESU sound decoder with a South West Digital sound project on it, which is superb. There are instructions supplied on how to obtain the best from the sound system, which is versatile enough to replicate the full range of distinctive Class 37 sounds.
A sample of the sound function is available by browsing the Minirails Twitter feed (different Class 37, same sound chip, speaker and configuration). The model is boxed in its original Bachmann packaging with instructions, sound men, internal pack and a vanity card.
