Heljan O gauge class 33 in un-numbered BR Blue. Loco has been fitted with a Zimo MX699 sound chip which includes on board'stay alive' capability. The fantastic Paul Chetter sound project is loaded on the chip and the loco has default address 3. Two large speakers are fitted: a slab bass reflex in the fuel tank and a larger'EM3' bass reflex in the body below the chip (see photos where have temporarily moved chip and fuel tanks to show speaker placement). These twin speakers make the loco sound monstrous and the 33 is the loudest and'bassiest' I have heard in O gauge.

The Paul Chetter sound project allows individual sound volumes to be adjusted as well as master volume and you can set the loco to accelerate as if it has a train hooked up, or as if it is running light engine. Holding F2 allows you to realistically/progressively slow the loco as if a real driver is applying the brakes. Full instructions on all sound and driving functions will be provided. The roof fan and circuit board is retained in place in the roof (see picture) and therefore the fan can be manually switched on and off using the relevant function key.

The fan circuit board potentiometer/trimmer can also be adjusted to change fan speed if desired. I have listed this loco as used, but it had the sound installed by myself from new and then test run only - no long term use on a layout (I have yet to build an O gauge layout). Loco is in original box with all original paperwork and unopened accessory pack. Original PCB (removed to fit DCC chip) supplied, in case the user wishes to convert back to straight DC.
