A Hornby OO gauge R2689 National Railway Museum (NRM) Special Edition 4-6-2 Pacific streamlined Coronation class locomotive and tender number 6229 "Duchess of Hamilton" in London, Midland & Scottish (LMS) Railway crimson lake livery with gold coloured striping. The locomotive is very well detailed and features sprung buffers, wire railings and grab handles, lamp hangers, black-backed metal effect name plates, vacuum pipes and a scallop backed streamlined tender with rear ladders. A crew of driver and fireman has been fitted to the footplate. It is in excellent used condition with no significant play wear and no missing parts.

Buffer heads, rear coupling hook, ladder and all moulded details are in place. On the track, the model is DCC ready and just needs a decoder plugging in to be compatible with digital layouts. It runs very well in both directions.

It is supplied in its original Hornby box complete with interior protective foam block, an NRM branded outer illustrated sleeve, a DCC insulation sleeve and a spare front truck - The model is supplied with two alternative trucks, one is a realistic scale long wheelbase truck for display purposes (fitted) and the other has a shorter axle pitch for better running characteristics. They are interchangeable with the release of a single screw.
