Hornby R3287TTS BR Class 47'47401' BR Blue Era 7 DCC Fitted TTS Sound. This model is finished in authentic British Rail Corporate Blue (Era 7). Carrying the iconic TOPS running number 47401, it features full yellow end warning panels, double-arrow BR logos and clean cab surround detailing.

Equipped with factory-fitted Twin Track Sound (TTS), this locomotive represents the classic mainline workhorse of the 1970s and 1980s network. 47401 (originally delivered as D1501) holds an important place in British railway history as the very first production Class 47 to enter revenue service with BR. Model Features & Technical Description. Digital Audio & Control: Factory-fitted Hornby Twin Track Sound (TTS) 8-pin DCC decoder installed within the chassis. The sound suite reproduces authentic dual-beat English Electric 12CSVT 4-stroke engine start-up, idling, high-RPM spooling, dual horns, vacuum/air brake releases and track rumble.

Drive: Bogie-mounted motor drive unit and multi-wheel power pickups for smooth low-speed crawling and strong hauling capacity across turnout pointwork. Chassis & Body: Built on Hornby's proven RailRoad / ex-Lima Class 47 chassis platform using 4-corner body clips, offering straightforward access for routine maintenance or chassis lubrication. This model is in as-new, mint condition in its original presentation box. The locomotive has been tested very briefly on a test track solely to verify smooth mechanical running and correct decoder/audio operation-it runs beautifully.
